Mesquite Fire & Rescue submits the following call statistics for the week of 1/19/2014 through 1/25/2015:

Total Calls For Service: 57*
911 Transports: 25
Non Transports: 17
Inter-facility Transports:  8
Fire Related Incidents: 7

FIRE LOG:

1/20/15

  • E-11, R-31, Battalion 3 Responded to the area of Hafen Lane behind Casa Blanca for a reported “Large Fire.” Arrived to find a controlled burn for which a burn permit had been granted.

1/22/15

  • B- Shift conducted Shelter In Place Drills at Virgin Valley High School as well as Charles Hughes Middle School.

1/25/14

  • E-11, R-11, R-31, and Mesquite Police responded to a high priority Motor Vehicle Accident at the intersection of Pioneer and Turtleback.  Arrived to find a single vehicle accident with the vehicle off the roadway and in the grass.  Vehicle had heavy fire showing from the engine compartment.  There was also a light pole completely down with live wires exposed as well as a second light pole with its light hanging.  No occupants in vehicle or in area.  Fire extinguished and area made safe.  Investigation into whereabouts of occupants being handled by Mesquite Police.

Non Transports include: Patient refusals, lift assists, patient deceased at scene, no patient found, no incident found, Incidents handled by other agencies.
