MLN-Chamberjan8-15With the Chamber CEO, Vicky Walter leaving in 2014 and Chairman Ernie Hoffman resigning in December, the Chamber of Commerce was looking for ways to thrive with what remained.

The past few weeks have brought many changes to the City of Mesquite and it’s businesses. The Mesquite Chamber of Commerce is one of those businesses, finding that budget cuts are absolutely necessary to keep afloat.

Thankfully, the chamber was able to relocate their offices to 11 W. Pioneer Boulevard, in the upstairs offices of the Bank of Nevada, in a space donated by the Bank of Nevada.

In addition to their new move, the chamber will be unveiling their newer client-friendly website at their monthly luncheon on Wednesday, January 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will also reveal their latest promotional video for Mesquite’s tourism market, which will be used at the LVCVA and Nevada Commission on Tourism to promote Mesquite in as many ways as possible.

The public is invited to attend the Chamber Luncheon at the Grand Canyon Ballroom inside the Eureka Casino at 275 Mesa Boulevard. The cost will be $18 per person according to their website, www.mesquite-chamber.com. For additional information, call the Chamber at 702-346-2902.

Next week, the MLN will be looking into the new operations of the Chamber and what they can do to continue improving Mesquite’s businesses.
