Leading the way for the Dawgs were forward Brianna Todd and Center Kourtney Metzger with 10 points each, Todd had seven rebounds and Metzger had four blocks for the Dawgs.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick 17-1 advantage over the small Roadrunner squad before TECH had their first field goal. The score stood 18-5 after one period. Seven Bulldogs chipped in shots for the lead. Coach Chimane Creer went to her bench early in the second period but still led 28-10 after one half of play. Todd hat 8 points to lead the Dawgs in the first half.

Six quick points underneath by Metzger and a steal and drive by guard Spencer Green increased the Dawgs lead to 36-10. Once again Creer went to her bench three minutes in keeping the score down. The Dawgs finished the third period with a lead of 38-16. The fourth period score was fairly even at 11-9 for the Dawgs. The game ended with the Bulldogs winning 49-25.

The Bulldogs’ league record went to 6-2 holding on to second place in the Sunrise League. The Dawgs will travel to Del Sol and Moapa Valley for two important games. “We need to win out,” said Coach Creer. “We would like to finish 1 or 2 in the final standings before tournament play begins. Our guards need to look inside to our big girls to stand a chance in the playoffs.”
