Bulldog center Kourtney Metzger’s basketball career will not end after she graduates from Virgin Valley High School this summer. Metzger signed a letter of intent to attend and play basketball at University of Great Falls in Great Falls Montana on a full ride scholarship. Metzger has played four good seasons with the Lady Bulldogs. Her shot blocking presence in the middle has intimidated a lot of opponents this past four years. Bulldog Athletic Director Keven Hess stated how important Kourtney has been to the Bulldog basketball program at VVHS. “I’m a little nervous about all this, but I’m excited at the same time. I got to travel to Great Falls and spent two days with the team,” said Metzger. I will be majoring in education and I probably won’t need to redshirt” “Were going to miss her but it’s only a 910 mile-drive, or 2 hour flight from Vegas,” said Christy and Randy Metzger.

G.F.U students are known as the Argos, and a Catholic University founded in 1932. The Argos began supporting basketball teams in 1966. The Argos achieved a milestone this year with a currant #22 ranking in N.A.I.A basketball rankings. I’m sure all of Mesquite sports enthusiasts wish Kourtney a great college career.
