How are those New Year’s resolutions working out for you?  If you vowed to eat healthy, get more exercise, and have more fun, come to the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery on Thursday, January 15, for an action-packed agenda of healthy living tidbits and a nutritious lunch of hearty soups and salads. This event, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” is presented by Virgin Valley Artists Association to showcase inventive food and wellness ideas, while showing off the beautiful, original artwork created by VVAA members.

Advance tickets for this noontime event can be purchased at the gallery for $20.  Admission provides a tummy-warming lunch, along with delicious and healthful tasting samples from Dixie Nutrition and 1880s Grille.  Some surprise giveaways are also in store!  Proceeds go to VVAA’s community art education programs.  Casual clothing suited for relaxed activity is recommended attire for this lunchtime affair.

Vanessa Temple, chairwoman for the event, lists her presenters. “Fitness instructor Betty King will show how to do yoga breathing.  Kelly Beeson demonstrates chair exercises that are low-impact yet great for flexibility, and all-around fitness.  Claire Kirchen will introduce healthy eating ideas and outline the sports agenda offered in the upcoming 2015 Mesquite Senior Games.  Chef Ian from the 1880 Grille is on hand, and there are other great surprises for our guests,” says Vanessa.

A full house is expected for this themed fundraiser, so early ticket purchase is encouraged.  Bring friends!   What better way to kick off the New Year than to enjoy a few hours with an entire crowd interested in making 2015 a happy, healthy year.

The Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery, operated by the nonprofit VVAA, is located at 15 W. Mesquite Blvd, Mesquite, Nevada.  Tickets for this special event can be purchased at the gallery front desk, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where else can you enjoy something  so splendidly GOOD for you that it guarantees you will stick to your New Years resolutions?    Baby, it’s cold outside, but it’s HOT at the Gallery!
