The Mesquite Police Department and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department have partnered with Jack in the Box to brew up a community event. Mesquite’s first ever “Coffee with a Cop,” is an event where residents can connect with law enforcement over a free cup of coffee. MPD Officers and LVMPD Officers will be at the Mesquite Jack in the Box, located at 320 N Sandhill Boulevard on January, 22 from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Coffee with a Cop provides a unique opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about law enforcement. Coffee with a Cop also provides residents with the opportunity to get to know those officers working in their neighborhoods. Coffee with a Cop is intended to break down barriers and allow for a relaxed one-on-one style interaction.

Coffee with a Cop is a national initiative supported by the U.S. Department of Justice. More than 200 cities in 36 states have participated in similar events. On January, 22 four agencies within Clark County will participate in the event at thirteen different locations throughout the county.

All residents are encouraged to attend. Coffee will be provided free of charge by Jack in the Box.
