Senior Games LogoMesquite Senior Games is entering its 14th year and there are lots of great changes to tell you about for 2015. Of course, the core foundation of the games hasn’t changed. We still offer many different games for athletes of all abilities aged 50 and better – even some for any age. And April is still Mesquite Senior Games month.

Now, let us tell you about some things that have changed.

First, we have two brand NEW games this year. We have added Bicycle Time Trials and Weight Throws.  The Bicycle Time Trials event sends riders off every 30 seconds to race against the clock on either a 3 or 5.8 mile route.

Our Weight Throws event will be held in conjunction with Track & Field. This event will test your strength and stamina as you “put” and/or toss heavy objects. We even have a Beer Keg Toss (empty of course)!

We also wanted to tell you about some leadership changes. With the retiring of our founder, Frank Pati, we have transitioned in a whole new board of directors. This new board not only has several years experience with Mesquite Senior Games, but brings new energy, ideas, and enthusiasm. Frank will continue to serve in a consulting role.

The best news of all is that registration for Mesquite Senior Games is now officially open. You can register through our secure, easy-to-use online site at: www.planetreg.com/msg2015 or by downloading a registration from our website at: www.mesquiteseniorgames.org/registration.
