Wednesday’s GAS Club had the closest results yet this year, just 1/10th of a stroke separated the top two teams. With a format of a best-ball on every hole and two scores on the par fives, the players had a possible par of 87 for the day.

The winning team of Ron Nickle and Larry Mierisch turned in a net of 75, which was 12 under par, edging out the second place team of John Meyer and Bill Losh who finished with a 75.1 net. Nickle’s par on hole #18 was the only par scored for the day. The third place team of Andrew Yeh and Jim Buttler finished just 1.8 strokes behind, still short of earning any money awards for the day.

Skins for Wednesday, one each, went to Rich Duester, Andrew Yeh, Terry Spriggs and John Meyer, while Ron Nickle took two.

Nickle also captured two of the closest to the pin awards for his play on holes #2 and #8. Dave Calmelat took hole #5, Bill Losh on hole #14 and John Meyer on #17.
