2014 is a year of political chaos worldwide, with our military spread thin and nations never more closer to a new war; however, US armed forces pack more technology in our arsenal than ever – able to strike any target on Earth without notice. In Bill Eads’ Lightning Flight! published by FriesenPress, the president authorizes a non-conventional strike against an underground terrorist compound using the navy’s newest stealth fighter aircraft, the F-35 Lightning II. The unanticipated result of the covert mission causes a chain reaction that threatens to impeach the president and brings the major military powers to the brink of World War III. When congressman Blake Ettington is sent to the Middle East to investigate, his team discovers an intricate plot to assassinate political leaders in America. The race to end the storm is on, but lightning strikes fast.

Lightning Flight! captures techno-thriller fans’ desire for action and a solid resolution. Thought-provoking and topical, this story is relevant in today’s chaotic world, and predicts the not-too-distant future.
