‘Tis the season for all of Mesquite to reach into your pockets and come see the feet…tap, tap tapping with the Toes at their annual Christmas concert to benefit the Virgin Valley Food Bank. Don’t worry, you won’t have to reach far, the donation is only $6 for a very good cause.
Yes it is time for the 9th Annual Mesquite Toes Benefit Concert, they have 13 new numbers and some dazzling costumes this year.
The Toes new Musical Theater ensemble will be performing for the first time their rendition of Dr. Suess’ “Grinch” and you will be able to enjoy guest performances by the Sun City Sounds as well as Linda Kessel.
On Saturday morning you can get together to celebrate with others in the community at the “Season’s Greetings” breakfast being held at the Mesquite Senior Center. The breakfast is being held from 8-10:30 a.m. so get up early because Saturday is chock full of activities.
Perhaps after breakfast you will want to do a bit of Christmas shopping and you’ll find yourself heading North on I-15, why not pull off at Beaver Dam and check out their Christmas Parade and Holiday Boutique. Don’t forget that everything in Arizona is on Mountain Time.
Maybe you won’t be shopping, you won’t have to go any further than the Mesquite Library; take the kids…the Library is hosting a family gift making workshop. There’s nothing better than the personal touch of something that is made with love.
Rest up afterward and hold your breath, there’s a decision to be made on the evening’s entertainment and it may just come down to a coin toss.
The Relevé dancers are holding their Christmas Recital and the young talent here in Mesquite is amazing to watch blossom. These young ladies and a few older ones always wow the audience. Rumor has it they have some amazing numbers and some awesome special guests. Tickets for the review are $10.
Perhaps your tastes are more geared toward the already established, award-winning entertainer, singer, song writer…then Mary Kaye’s “Cowboy Christmas” and the Virgin Valley High School Theatre is where you’ll want to be.
Mary Kaye is a critically acclaimed and multiple award winning entertainer presented by the Mesquite Arts Council.
Mary Kaye tours extensively throughout the United States and Canada with her unique brand of western folk music. According to MAC’s press release, “Her music is rooted deeply in the Western landscape her life is immersed in.”
