Where’s My Tiara?

To the Editor:
I’m looking for my Tiara because I need to get ready for the Hi Tea this month.  Did I thank the League of Women Voters for such a wonderful event last year?  Oh gees, did I forget to do that?  Is it too late to say thank you, thank you.  So many people put lots of work into this wonderful function and it was the first ever for Mesquite.
My Tiara was presented to me last November when I became one of these Distinguished Women by the League of Women Voters.  That’s right, little ol’ me… I was one of 16 and it sure has been my pride and joy….I was so humbled when out of the blue my name was called.  That I qualified in the eyes of my peers for this wonderful award amazes me to this day.
Where is my Tiara?  This year there are going to be more women honored for their contribution to the community. I am so excited I can hardly wait for this year’s League of Women Voter’s Hi Tea to find out who gets the awards this year.  It will be at the Eureka Canyon room, Saturday, November the 15th at 2:00 pm and I need to dress up and wear my Tiara.  Where is it?  I had it by my bed for months.
I suppose I will have to email Her Highness Queen II and see if she would be able to loan me one of her Tiaras for the afternoon.  I’m sure she wouldn’t mind, after all you can only wear one Tiara at a time.  Right…..  Or does anyone have a spare Tiara to lend me if the Queen can’t send hers?
See you there…oh, haven’t you got your ticket yet? Contact Rosemary Gary @ 702-346-3132 or cell: 702-755-5640 today.  Tickets are $12.
