Last week’s executive order by the President was a slap in the face for all those who immigrated legally into our country. It was a slap in the face to our entry level workers and to our citizens who pay taxes.

Those who waited in line and came here legally must feel very stupid for going through the process. Why not slip across the border and you’re in, why did you spend all that time and money playing by the rules? You filled out tons of paper work, filed it on time and waited; maybe you even got an immigration attorney.

For our potential entry level employees, the news is worse; you just got millions of more competitors for that job. Who does that hurt the most, the young black person looking for that chance to begin the upward climb. Our young black citizens now have the highest unemployment rate but this should almost freeze them out of the job market. This was done by a person and a party that the black communities have been supporting for years and the President stabbed them not in the back but right in the front.

You who pay taxes, what do you think would happen to you if you didn’t send in your taxes? Just pay a little fine and it will be O.K., I think not. We would be spending a little bit of jail time and probably lose all we had. For years we have been paying the bill for sending the illegal’s kids to school by taking away money from our own families to pay our share of the tax burden while they keep their money.

Does anyone think all of these people will find work right-away?  So many of them will continue on public assistance of some kind, probably the same assistance many are already getting. What about the other Americans that don’t get work because of the competition? I think we will have to start paying for them too, but at least they are Americans and we are committed to help them get on their feet even if someone just kicked the chair out from under them.

These illegals have flaunted our laws, cheated on paying taxes and stole from our welfare system. Why should they get anything but out of here? Feel sorry for them, what about our own people who can’t get a job because they took it? In the President’s speech he referred to the hard working mothers trying to raise her kids, don’t you wonder how many are working and how many are on the public rolls?

There is a cry for cheap labor from some business advocates, but most businesses check on the employees and those that don’t should be fined and maybe put out of business.

Then there are those that say our immigration system is broken and congress will not act. To those I say, we have a system that is not broken except for the government’s enforcement of the law. The present law was passed lawfully and just because some people, including the President, do not like it, does not mean it is not the law.

What about Congress not acting to fix what some people want changed; Congress did review the proposed changes and didn’t pass them, that is acting, and it means no change. As Harry Reid has demonstrated many times, in the Senate, not voting on legislation is acting, acting for no change  . Harry set the precedent, and when the shoe is on the other foot, it does not fit well. The House of Representatives were just following the same rules that Harry has been setting in the Senate.

So our President helped people who had already broken our laws, failed to pay taxes and stole services. Some might say they were entitled to the services but these services were intended for our people not foreign nationals who sneak into our country and take jobs from citizens or live on our welfare programs. Funny thing is that all this is supported by the President’s party. They say one thing before elections but change very quickly.

The questions are; why is this man acting as an emperor, above the law? What is behind this betrayal of the people who follow the law? Does he think he knows what is best for those who are stupid enough to follow the rules and the law? Does he know what’s best for the black community which he has never really been part of? Does he know better than Congress who should come to this country? Is there anything he doesn’t know?
