Monday’s GAS Club outing consisted of six teams in a 3-best-ball score on all par threes and two-best-ball score on all other pars.

The winning team of Jeff Lund, Howie Robson, Alex Churchich and Bill Losh shot a net score of 62.6, five strokes ahead of two other teams.

Closest to the pin winners were Marty Robson (Howie’s son) and Jeff Lund. Lund also had the only skin of the day, for his birdie on the par three 14th hole.

“I would say that Jeff had his ‘A’ game in high gear,” said Jim Buttler. “He also took low net honors with a smooth 38 (net 35), just one over par.”

Buttler continued with “I had the pleasure of playing in the Robson foursome and watching Howie’s two sons hit shots for distances that I can hardly believe. 160 yards for a pitching wedge? I have trouble seeing that far, much less hitting a ball that far!”
