MRBI Biz SummitThe Mesquite Regional Business, Inc and the Mesquite Chamber of Commerce are jointly hosting the Mesquite Business Summit on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Sun City Community Center, 1350 Flat Top Mesa.

Steve Hill, Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development Executive Director will be the keynote speaker followed by a panel of local experts representing Mesquite’s economic drivers.

The cost to attend is $25 for early reservation and $30 after November 1st.  Table sponsorships available for $250 (table of 8). Hot hors d’oeuvres will be served and early reservations are suggested because the 2013 event sold-out early.  This joint venture is to inform the business community what is on the horizon for the Mesquite region. In 2012, Steve Hill was appointed to the position of Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval.  “Nevada’s commitment to economic development is resulting in real jobs for Nevadans,” said Steve Hill, Director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development.  “Over the last several months, the number of high-caliber jobs that are resulting from companies coming to Nevada or expanding within our state has continued to increase, and our economy is feeling the positive impact from this.”

Following the keynote speaker a panel will be discussing topics that drive Mesquite’s local economy such as recreational tourism, gaming, residential housing and healthcare.  The panelist include Alexander Koch, Corporate Director of Development and Administration for Eureka Casino Resort; David Bennett, Fidelity National Title Las Vegas; Patty Holden, Mesa View Regional Hospital CEO; and Bryan Dangerfield, City of Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services Director.  A question and answer session will be open to the attendees.
