DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – BEAVER DAM (AZ STRIP)
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Karen Sue Sanderson, 67, of Beaver Dam, earlySunday (11/16) afternoon for assault per domestic violence and disorderly conduct per domestic violence, misdemeanors. Approximately 12:40 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at Front Street and Joshua Tree Avenue. Upon arrival, deputies observed a white Pontiac vehicle parked partially in the roadway. Deputies contacted Sanderson and she advised that she got into an argument with a female friend. Sanderson further advised that as she was leaving in her Pontiac that her friend jumped on the hood of her car as she proceeded slowly down the road. Deputies contacted Sanderson’s friend, a 33-year-old female victim. The victim said that Sanderson was leaving with her daughter inside the vehicle and she tried stopping Sanderson. Deputies contacted a witness and the witness said that he saw a woman hanging on the hood of a moving vehicle. During the investigation, deputies observed Sanderson forcefully rip a phone out of the victims’ hand. Sanderson was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mesquite Jail.
