The Clark County School District will be holding several public input meetings in November to discuss the district’s sex education curriculum.

“We want the community to know that we are listening and that we are committed to collaborating with them to determine what should be taught in our schools. It is important to us that we have a sex education curriculum that meets our students’ needs while respecting the values of our community,” said Pat Skorkowsky, CCSD superintendent.

Dozens of parents became upset in September when they heard the district held meetings to discuss a possible change in the sex education curriculum. Skorkowsky acknowledged that his approach was wrong.
