October 1881 – Cotton grown successfully on Mesquite Flats. (Now Mesquite)

September 29th 1882 John Waite of Bunkerville died because of a rattlesnake bite.

September 30th, 1911 Big flood down the river today. It washed out the dam and part of the ditch. Land washed away Water did not return to ditch until December 6th. -Ira J. Earl of Bunkerville
