October 1867- Brigham Young extends the call to 158 men to settle the Muddy Mission (This area included the Virgin Valley, Moapa, Logandale and Overton)
October 1911- Willam E. Woodbury of St. George introduces “Hoops” (Basketball) to the Valley.
October 1918- School closed due to flu epidemic.
