The members of the Mesquite Sunrise Rotary club are busy preparing for its biggest fundraising event of the year coming up on October 24 and 25 at the Oasis Golf Course. The 9th Annual Mesquite Golf Getaway begins with the Friday Evening Cocktail Reception for the golfers, guests and sponsors at the Eureka Casino Resort Grand Canyon Room at 6 p.m. Friday night.
This year’s event includes a Silent Auction with a number of donated items up for bidding. There will be an opportunity to win a beautiful framed Rockwell Print valued at $1600.
Saturday morning Registration starts at 6 a.m. with Continental Breakfast, followed by the 8 a.m. shotgun start. Numerous contests and prizes will be given away at the Awards Luncheon following the tournament at the Eureka Casino Resort Grand Canyon Room.
Raffle tickets are being sold for a chance to win a complete set of 2014 Adams XTD Irons, Driver and Woods plus a Bagboy Revolver Bag. Raffle tickets are available at Ready Golf, C&K Shutters & Blinds and Mountain America Credit Union. The funds raised at this event are earmarked for the Rotary Foundation Scholarships for local students.
