The Virgin Valley High School girl volleyball team won their tenth match in a row defeating Desert Pines 3-0 Wednesday night at Desert Pines.

The Dawgs won by scores 25-8, 25-12 and 25-11 led by Bernice Fiso with 11 kills and 5 service aces. Emma Barnum had 7 kills and Janella Fiso added 25 assists to go with her 7 service aces.

The Bulldogs are tied with Moapa Valley for second place in 1-A Sunrise Division standings with 11-2 records with one game remaining.

The Dawgs need to defeat TECH at home on Wednesday to insure a second seeding in the upcoming 1-A playoffs. The Pirates face league leader Boulder City on Wednesday. A Pirate win would create a three way tie at the top of the Sunrise standing.

The Bulldogs will move on to the quarter finals at Sunrise High School on Tuesday November 4.
