This week’s Monday golf outing for the Golf and Social (GAS) Club took on a modified stableford format. Points were accrued in relation to a player’s score on each hole.
Two groups with high total points had high hopes of taking the team prize, but it didn’t work out that way. Both teams were tied for first place until the last group posted their totals, snatching their dreams away.
The winning team of John Johnson and his guest, Bob M. and Alex Churchich with his guest Aaron, won in the end due to the eight points earned by Churchich for his gross eagle on hole #3.
Low net went to Ray Sweat for his 32. Closest to the pin winners were Jeff Lund on hole #2, Terry Spriggs on hole #5 and Steve Fennimore on hole #8. Lund brought his “A” game back after a week in Palm Springs, shooting a smooth 37, even though he had a four-putt on hole #8.
Two skins went to Andrew Yeh and Jeff Lund and a double to Alex Churchich for his eagle.
