The Mesquite Challenge Golf Tournament was held at Falcon Ridge Golf Course Monday, October 20, playing three different formats.

The low round was a scratch of 70 by Gary Slater and Justin Hughes. While they did get the low score, they weren’t able to place in the money with their low handicap.

The first place money went to the team of Alex Churchich and Bob Chambers, thanks to three birdies on the back nine for a net of 62.4.

Second place was won by Ben Bishop and Terry Spriggs with a net 63.8. Third place went to David Wargacki and John Lipani with a net 64.8. Following up in fourth place was Marty Conway and Jim Buttler with a net 65.5, topping off the team-money winners.

Closest to the pin winners were Andrew Yeh on hole #2, John Lipani on hole #5, Clark Mitchell on hole #8, Gary Bartlett on hole #14 and Marty Conway on hole #17.

Players enjoyed a lunch with Brian Wursten’s crew in the clubhouse afterwards. Stay tuned for the next Challenge competition.
