The Virgin Valley High School volleyball team continued to roll Thursday night at Del Sol High School. The Lady Dawgs defeated the Dragons 30-28, 25-12 and 25-13 to win 3-0. The win was the ninth in a row for the Dawgs. The Dawgs are tied for second with archrival Moapa Valley for the second seed with 10-2 season records. The Pirates finish the regular season at first place Boulder City next Wednesday. Two wins by the Bulldogs and a Pirate loss would give the Dawgs a second seed in the 1-A Southern Division playoffs. A Pirate win would find all three teams tied for the conference title.

Bernice Fiso led the Dawgs with eight kills and two aces. Teammates Kaydee Bingham and Emma Barnum contributed 7 kills each. Janella Fiso had 20 assists and two aces.

The Dawgs travel to Desert Pines High School on Monday October 27 and end the regular season October 29 against TECH. The Bulldogs defeated both teams by identical 3-0 scores. The Jaguars have not reached the win column this year but the TECH squad is 7-5, in fourth place in the conference.
