The OASIS Women’s Golf Association (OWGA), led by Allison Webb and Karen Parkinson, continues the tradition established four years ago of sponsoring the Valley Rally, a 2-Person Scramble Tournament on the Palmer course to benefit the Mesquite Cancer HELP Society (MCHS).  The OWGA has set $10,000 as their lofty goal for this year’s fundraiser.  The MCHS, a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit, offers assistance to Virgin Valley cancer patients and their families and is funded strictly through local fundraising events and personal donations.

This year’s event will be held Sunday, October 26, 2014, and is open to members of the Oasis Golf Club, their guests, and the public. Entry fee for members is $40/person and $65/person for non-members.  The tournament fee includes tee prizes, pin events for men and women and drink specials. A BBQ will follow the tournament where there will be plenty of raffle items to vie for, as well as announcement of tournament winners and awards. Non-golfers who wish to only attend the BBQ can be a part of the fun for a modest $20. Golfers, non-golfers and businesses are encouraged to sponsor a hole for $100, which is a tax-deductible donation. This is to celebrate cancer survivors and those who have succumbed to the illness.

Entry forms and sponsorships forms for this year’s Valley Rally are available at the Oasis Pro Shop and the Mesquite Cancer HELP Society.  For advance information or questions regarding this year’s event, please contact Adam Schwartz at the Palmer Golf Course, (702) 346-7820.  If you are interested in donating raffle items, please contact Yoli Bell at (702)346-7173, or Deby Burton at (702)346-0622 or (801)791-1900.
