August 1910 Telephone line being put in between Mesquite and St. George. The telephone company would eventually become the Rio Virgin Telephone company.
August 1913 Bunkerville High School under construction.
1939- Electricity arrives in the Valley. The majority of Americans living in cities had electricity by the early 1930’s. It took a little longer in the U.S. for rural areas to get electricity.
August 1972 I15 pass through the Virgin River Gorge under construction. The pass through the gorge would be one of the most expensive passes to build in the U.S. $61 million dollars for 29 miles.
