Many turn out for Monday’s GAS Club

Monday’s nine-hole tournament consisted of four-man teams playing in a 1-2-3 format: one score for the par 5’s, two scores for the par 4’s and three scores for the par 3’s.

Three strokes are all that separated the top three teams, but it was the winning team of Andrew Yeh, Larry Mierisch, Ray Sweat and Dave Calmelat that shot just one over par for the victory.

Low net went to Ray Sweat, his handicap edged out three other players by just a stroke.

The closest to the pin winners were John Johnson on hole #2 and Alex Churchich on holes #5 and #8.

Skins were hard to find, only two were given out. Ben Bishop earned one on hole #2 with a rumored 50-yard putt and Andrew Yeh took the other on hole #3.

The GAS Club will be having an Overseed Party Extravaganza on Saturday starting at noon at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course, 1024 Normandy Way. Attendees will be able to help close the course for the next three weeks while participating in all the different games planned, including putting, chipping, nine-hole teams, closest to the pin and four-hole horse races. Lunch and golf is all inclusive for just a $45 fee.
