Come help Mesa View Hospital celebrate their 10th Anniversary. Be their guest at an open reception today in the hospital lobby from 2:30-5:30 p.m. Hors d’ oeuvres will be served. Athletes from around the world battle it out for more than $500,000 purse and title of the “Longest driver on earth!” and you can see it all at the Mesquite Sport and Event Complex through Saturday.
The Virgin Valley Theatre Group is preparing for their second show of the season, All My Sons, beginning September 24th and 25th. The group would like you to join them for auditions from 6 p.m. to 9 pm on those dates in the green room behind the theatre.
Perhaps you don’t think you have the time to attend rehearsals every night from now to January. That is simply not going to be the case for this show, the rehearsal schedule is not set until the cast is complete and all decide the rehearsal schedule together. What the director finds important is your availability for the performance dates in January.
The Mesquite Toes Tap Team invite all potential new dancers to come to the studio and try out some classes in a fun environment.
There will be free classes every 20 minutes in Tap, Jazz, Clogging and Musical Theater dance. If you are not familiar with any of these types of dance and have never tried them, you too, are invited to take a FREE class or just stop by, see our newly renovated studio and say, “Hi”. Refreshments will be served.
On Saturday the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum will have pioneer games for the community to come and enjoy at the Art Classroom behind the art gallery.
Community members will also be able to make and take home a Whirly Gig, a simple toy made from a button and string.
