MoapaHenrieRoadClark County’s Office of Emergency Management has set up a recorded message line for property owners to call to report flood damage from this week’s storms. This hotline is for damage only, not debris removal.

Callers are being asked to leave a message with their name, address and telephone number. They also should describe flood damage that has occurred inside their property or report significant amounts of debris flow outside their property that will require resources to remove. The Flood Damage Hotline is: (702) 455-5717.

Yesterday, the team assessing damage in the Moapa Valley area found 48 houses in Overton with some degree of damage ranging from large amounts of debris flow outside properties to water and mud damage inside homes, from a few inches to several feet in some cases. The team also toured Logandale today but won’t have any preliminary number on properties visited until Thursday. The group has wrapped up efforts for the evening and will meet on Thursday morning at Fire Station 72 in Moapa to resume activities. They plan to visit both Moapa and the Moapa Band of Paiutes reservation tomorrow. The team consisted of about 12 people, including county staff, citizens and five representatives from the state of Nevada’s Emergency Management Division.
