They went deep-sea fishing on a boat named the “Tetuga” catching sand bass, mackerel and red snappers.  Nathan was excited to catch the largest fish, a red snapper about a foot or more weighting 7-8lbs. Adam also caught a big fish.  Back at camp they cooked their catch completing some requirements for earning their fishing merit badge.

They went to the Angel Stadium for the Angels’ baseball game on Mormon night. The announcer introduced several missionaries and told about the LDS church and their service to the community. One of the LDS missionaries threw out the opening pitch of the game. The scouts were excited to see the Angels’ win against the Tigers, 2-1.

The scouts also went to the Santa Monica pier and went swimming in the ocean at Malibu Beach.

The scouts said the most memorable experience was going to the Los Angeles Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Their leaders were Rob Pulver, Dave Everitt David Teschner and Aaron Baker.
