Julia Hunt, age 95, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Angie Hughes, in Scenic, Ariz. She was born May 3, 1919 in Hubbard, Ariz. to Jacob William and Margaret Ann Goff Felshaw. On March 4, 1943 she married T.G. Minkler in Pima, Ariz. They had one daughter. On July 22, 1972 she married Ferlin Hansen Hunt in Mesquite. They were later sealed in the St. George LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1982.
Julia grew up in Pima, Ariz. She lived in Springfield, Ore. for nineteen years while she was married to T.G. and then moved to Mesquite to be near her daughter, Angie. She enjoyed painting with water colors, sewing, quilting, gardening and playing the piano. Julia loved teaching first and second grade students. She was a grandma to everyone.
She is survived by her daughter, Angie (Jimmie) Hughes of Scenic, AZ; step-children, Gerald (Billie) Hunt of Logandale, Nev., Dale (Linda) Hunt of Las Vegas, Roger (Mauna Sue) Hunt of Las Vegas, Joy (Garry) Noel of Mesquite, and Sue (Kerry) Woods of Bunkerville, Nev.; 36 grandchildren and multiple great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral services were held at the LDS Stake Center on Monday, August 11, 2014. Interment followed at the Bunkerville Cemetery.
