Perhaps you have a love for classical theatre but find it a bit intimidating because you don’t understand the language. The Virgin Valley Theatre Group is committed to making Shakespeare accessible to everyone.
Shakespeare has been called the “Greatest writer in the English language” an now you can pick up on some quick basics of his work with the help of the Virgin Valley Theatre Group’s educational workshops which are held at the Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery Classroom 15 West Mesquite Blvd.
Maybe Shakespeare isn’t you theatre preference, do you like to have fun with characterization? Are you a mover and shaker? Then Fly Willie is the place to be, “farm livin’ is the life for me…..” do you recognize the song?
The Virgin Valley Theatre Group has a different kind of workshop, still part of the VVTG educational series, the Sunday evening, Fly Willie, workshop focuses on the physical side of comedy, characterization and choreography.
You don’t have to dance to be part of the workshop, dancers are welcome but the workshop is being split so actors who are just interested in working on characterization can join the first half of the workshop from 4-5:30 p.m.
Those who want to dance can join the second half of the workshop from 5:30-7 p.m. Of course those who want to do both are welcome to join the VVTG for the full three hour workshop.
