Varsity Scouts from Team 6998 sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Mesquite 7th Ward recently completed their summer high adventure activity.  The scouts kicked off their trip with rock climbing, zip line, and river rafting activities near Marysvale, Utah.   The adventure continued with a 14 mile overnight backpacking trip in Zion National Park. The backpacking trip was highlighted by the opportunity to view Kolob Arch, a beautiful natural free standing arch. While on the trail, the group observed various types of wildlife with the backdrop of colorful canyon walls.“The young men saw some beautiful country and overcome several challenges,” said Ryan Toone, one of the leaders.  “I was pleased with the way they worked together to reach

their goals.” Those participating on the trip were scouts Andrew Memmott, Brenden Lee, Chase Henderson, Dade McCann, and leaders Kyle Memmott and Ryan Toone.
