The Nevada Department of Transportation advises motorists to plan ahead for delays on I-15 southbound between Glendale and Moapa for the I-15 paving project.  Only one lane will be open to the traveling public on I-15 southbound from Aug. 11 until Nov.

There will be up to one-hour delays on I-15 southbound on Sundays between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.  Motorists should plan ahead, and expect delays during this peak commute period.  Delays should also be expected during the Labor Day weekend, as crews will continue to work through the holiday weekend.  “Leave early or stay later, so you can avoid the peak traffic volumes in the afternoon and evening.  If you must travel this section on Sunday evenings or on Labor Day, please fill up with gas, and carry plenty of water just in case,” says Luke Rollins, NDOT Construction Supervisor.  Northbound I-15 will not be restricted.

A substantial portion of the project, which impacts traffic, will be complete by November.  The contractor for the $36 million project is Las Vegas Paving.  For the latest up-to-the minute road conditions, please visit: www.nvroads.com.
