IMG_3976Mesa View Regional Hospital is pleased to welcome Cort Leavitt, M.D. as an independent member of the medical staff. Dr. Leavitt with his wife and three children recently moved to Mesquite from Janesville, Wisconsin, where he practiced at Mercy Medical Center. “We are looking forward to making Mesquite our home with its small town environment, close to family and where I grew up,” commented Leavitt.  “I am excited about being involved in this great community and providing health care for patients of all ages,” he concluded.

He graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology from Southern Utah University. Dr. Leavitt completed his internship and residency through the Mercy Health System Family Medicine Residency Program at Mercy South Clinic in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Dr. Leavitt will be providing care both as a primary care physician at Mesa View Medical Group and as a hospitalist physician at Mesa View Regional Hospital.  He will provide care to patients when they are hospitalized and follow-up care after they are discharged.   Dr. Leavitt takes great pleasure in caring for entire families. By establishing long term relationships with his patients, he can focus on the individual patient’s needs. He believes in clear, honest and detailed communication to patients and their family members, to make sure that questions are answered and concerns addressed.

“Dr. Leavitt has ties to the community and his dedication to quality health care will be a benefit to all of Mesquite and the surrounding area,” said Patty Holden, CEO for Mesa View Regional Hospital.

His decision to become a Family Practice physician stems from his desire to care for a wide variety of        patients, from newborns to the elderly. For recreation, in addition to spending time with his family and playing golf, he enjoys cycling, basketball and scuba diving.

Dr. Leavitt is now accepting new patients. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call Mesa View Medical Group at 702-346-0800 or visit MesaViewMedical.com.
