MLN-Vowjuly31-14The youth at Living Waters Fellowship have completed their covenant ring class where each one made a vow/covenant before God and their family to remain sexually pure until the time of marriage.

During this seven-week course the youth looked at what making a covenant means and the importance of being men and women of their word. They looked at both the biblical basis for marriage and keeping oneself pure, and also what they can expect from being sexually active, including unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

Abstinence is not just a word, but also a choice that each of these young people have made, and Living Waters Fellowship wanted to celebrate them by putting on a dinner to honor their decision, and a ceremony where each one was given a ring to remember and commemorate it.

The Bible says, “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral” (Hebrews 13:4 NIV).

Dennis Lee, senior pastor of Living Waters Fellowship said, “I am proud of our youth and the decision they made. This decision isn’t easy especially given our permissive society where the difference between right and wrong has not only become blurred, but turned around as well where people are calling what is evil good, and what is good evil.”
