Mesquite Kids on Stage have rehearsed for several weeks and are now ready to wow their audience tonight at 7 p.m. as they open their 2014 Disney Review at the Mesquite Community Theatre, 150 N. Yucca St.  Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children.

Some of Mesquite’s most talented performers are sure to melt the hearts of any audience member as they perform songs from the Disney movie Frozen.

You’ll be Zippity Doo Dahing in your seats and Bippity Bobbity without the booing as MKOS belts out songs from some of Disney’s classics like “Song of the South” and Cinderella.

There’s even a choreographed puppet show when Aiden Steyee, Trevor Everitt, Parker Holt, Olivia Martinez, Nyah Conwell, Maya Solis-Stokes and Elsa Whipple play puppeteer and puppets while the chorus sings ‘I’ve Got No Strings” from Disney’s Pinocchio.

Mesquite Kids on Stage is presented by The Mesquite Arts Council and is directed by Susan Bennett, Jenny Bennett and Cathy McCann who say they are very excited to present these wonderfully talented children to their audiences.

McCann who just joined MKOS this year said, “We’re just so very proud of them, the kids are great to work with and they are so ready.”

Pat Reber who has worked with the Mesquite Kids on stage since the beginning said so many little ones have had an opportunity this year and it’s been fun.”

Judy Brittain, who along with Vicki Eckman served as Dance Director for the kids, is working with the MKOS for the first time and she says she’s had so much fun.
