The GAS Club tournament at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course on Wednesday, June 4, was a two-man team modified Stableford format with full handicaps. Both players having to stay “in the game” to earn points.

First place team monies went to Dave Calmelat and Jim Buttler for finishing with a minus .9, playing almost exactly to their combined handicaps.

The second place team of Capt. Ron Nickle and Glenn Hood finished just over 3 stokes behind at minus 4.2.

Skins were unusually common, as there were nine: one each by Alex Churchich, Ron Nickle, Dave Calmelat and the Wyoming cowboy, Johnny Mac. John Johnson had two and Jim Buttler lucked out with some long putts, taking three skins.

Closest to the pins were also awarded, one each for Ron Nickle, Johnny Mac and Jim Buttler. The closest to the pin leader, Dave Calmelat, did it again by winning holes #5 and #17.

Anyone wishing to play in the Mesquite Challenge on June 16th can contact Jim Buttler at 702-346-2714 or Brian Wursten at 702-346-6363.
