The Monday afternoon gas club tourney at falcon ridge was a hot affair with both the golfing and the temperature being at 101 degrees.

The winning team of Gary Bartlett, Dave Calmelat, Ray Sweat and Gary Slater nosed out the 2nd place team by a whopping 8/10’s of a stroke in their net score. The teams seem to be getting closer in scores each week as they haven’t had any team ties yet, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if that happens soon.

Skins were won on two holes: one by Gary Bartlett with a birdie on hole #8 and the other by Jim Buttler with his lucky birdie on hole #4.

Closest to the pins were won on hole #5 by Jim Buttler and hole #8 by Glenn Hood. It’s hard to believe that not one of these “sticks” could mark hole #2, even with all the wind.

Low net went to Gary Bartlett with a net 33.7.

On Monday June 16, beginning at 7 a.m. there will be another golf challenge at the Falcon Ridge Golf Course. Currently, there is room for 16 two-man teams. Organizers encourage players to pick a partner and come out to challenge the course as well as the other teams. The format will be the same as the last tournament.

Contact Jim Buttler at 702-346-2714 or Brian Wursten at the falcon ridge clubhouse, 702-346-6363 if interested.
