Editor’s note: The following was taken from the pages of the Mesquite Police Department blotter for April 27 – May 3, 2014.

Trespassing: April 27 – An Officer was dispatched to a casino on W Mesquite Blvd concerning a trespassed male.  The Officer located the male, who had been trespassed from the casino in 2010.  The male was cited and released.

Stolen Vehicle: April 28 – Officers responded to a residence on Desert Dr concerning a stolen golf cart.  A report was taken.

Litter/Pollution/Public Health: April 28 – An Officer responded to an apartment complex on Riverside Rd for a report of littering.  No suspects were located, and a report was taken.

Domestic Trouble: April 28 – Officers responded on a possible domestic violence call on Canyon View Way. Officers separated and spoke with all parties involved. Subjects were involved in a non-violent verbal argument. Subjects were separated for the evening.

Juvenile Problem: April 28 – Officer responded to a report of criminal mischief on Hawk St. Contact was made with a juvenile male who admitted to kicking in a fence. Follow up is being done to contact the property owner.

Animal complaint: April 28 – Officer responded to a dog at large barking and running into traffic. The dog was followed home and the owner warned for dog at large.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: April 28 – Officer responded to a private property accident on E Pioneer Blvd. Driver exchange form was completed and a copy given to the owner of each vehicle involved.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: April 29 – Officer responded to a report of a suspicious noise in a residential neighborhood. The complainant had left the area, and did not provide contact information. The area was circulated and nothing suspicious was found.

Intoxicated Person: April 29 – Officers responded to a local hotel on W Mesquite Blvd on a report of an intoxicated male being argumentative about not being rented a room. Management was no longer on scene when they reported the male, who had also left the scene prior to our arrival.

Theft from Vehicle: April 29 – An officer responded to a local parking lot on W Mesquite Blvd in reference to a theft of a license plate from a vehicle.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: April 29 – Officers responded to a Concord Dr residence on a report of a burglary in process.  Upon arrival officers located all parties involved.  The owner did not press charges, but trespassed the individuals.

Theft: April 29 – An officer was dispatched to the police department, in reference to a theft call on Valley View Dr.

Follow up Investigation: April 29 – Officer responded to Palos Verdes Dr for follow up on a previous incident under investigation. Property was located and returned to the owner. After investigation, it was determined non criminal.

Suspicious Person/Circumstance: April 29 – Citizen reported her sister offered her children a drink at the bus stop on Milky Way. Citizen does not want her sister giving her children anything. Wants police to speak with her sister.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: April 29 – Officer made contact with a citizen at Grapevine Road and Pioneer Boulevard reporting a tree branch had snapped in the wind and struck his vehicle as he drove by causing minor scratches. The citizen decided against making an official report and decided to buff out the scratches.

Agency Assistance: April 29 – Officer responded to Desert Dr & W Mesquite Blvd assist a Nevada State Trooper on a traffic stop. Officer stood by for officer safety until the traffic stop was finished. No further action taken.

Wanted Person: April 29 – Officers arrested a male on Moss Dr who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Traffic Stop: April 30 – Officer conducted a traffic stop on an adult male at W Mesquite Blvd & N Arrowhead Ln. Male was issued citations for traffic offenses and released.

Traffic Stop: April 30 – Officer observed a traffic violation at W Mesquite Blvd & N Grapevine Rd. The driver of the scooter failed to stop at a posted stop. Driver was arrested for contempt of court and traffic related charges.

Property Damage, Non Vandalism: April 30 – Officer responded to a local business on E Mesquite Blvd on a reported hit and run.  No witnesses or suspect information was available.  Report taken.

Agency Assistance: April 30 – Mesquite Police assisted the Mesquite Constable with a eviction at a Mesquite residence on Desert Dr. The involved parties were also trespassed from the property by the property manager.

Theft: April 30 – An officer responded to a business on W Pioneer Blvd reference a report of a theft from the property. The complainant provided the officer with a description of the vehicle and person involved. Officers attempted to locate the vehicle, and an officer’s report was completed.

Wanted Person: April 30 – Officers arrested a male on Riverside Rd who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Wanted Person: April 30 – Officers arrested a female on Riverside Rd who had a warrant out of Mesquite Municipal Court.

Weapon Offense: April 30 – Officers responded to a casino on E Pioneer Blvd reference a patron who was possibly in possession of a weapon, and the man refused to leave upon request by security. Officers spoke to the man, and determined he was not in possession of a weapon. Security allowed him to remain on property.

Traffic Accident, w/ Injuries: May 1 – Mesquite Police responded to a two vehicle accident on W Pioneer Blvd & N Grapevine Rd. The driver of both vehicles reported injuries and were both transported to the Hospital. The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene and is investigating the accident.

Missing Person: May 1 – Officer took a report of a missing adult male on Partridge Lane. The male and his vehicle were entered into the National Data Base as missing and attempt to locate.

Theft: May 1 – Officer spoke with a female on Lonesome Dove Dr concerning her missing/stolen pain pills. Female suspected a family member as taking the missing pills and requested to file a report as a matter of record.

Citizen Assist: May 1 – Officer took a report over the phone concerning the unauthorized use of a debit card at an ATM in the City of Mesquite.

Citizen Assist: May 1 – Officer responded to the Police Department lobby and took a report of an unknown person changing the billing address on one of their credit cards. The card was not used.

Disorderly Conduct: May 1 – Officers responded to a residence on Leavitt Ln reference a disorderly intoxicated male. Officers located the male, and he was arrested for breach of peace.

Controlled Substance Problem: May 1 – An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on E Pioneer Blvd and located drug paraphernalia with marijuana in the vehicle. The owner of the illegal drugs was cited and released.

Assault/Battery: May 2 – Officers responded to a Casino on Mesa Blvd for a report of an assault. Officer spoke with both involved parties and the reporting party decided they did not want to pursue charges.

Domestic Trouble: May 2 – Officer responded to a domestic battery involving a female and male on Garnet Ln. Officers arrived contacted both subjects involved with the incident. Evidence revealed signs of domestic battery. Male subject was taken into custody without incident for domestic battery.

Missing Person: May 2 – An officer responded to a residence on Mesquite Springs Dr in reference to a missing juvenile. The juvenile was located at a park and returned back to his mother.

Citizen Assist: May 2 – Officers responded to a casino parking lot on W Mesquite Blvd reference a report of domestic violence. Officers determined the argument was verbal only. Officers provided information on resources available to assist them.

Domestic Trouble: May 2 – Officers responded to a residence on Rivers Bend Dr reference a report of domestic violence between a male and female. The officers determined both subjects had been mutual combatants in the domestic battery, and both were arrested.

Theft: May 2 – An officer was stopped by a female on Mesquite Springs Dr who wanted to report a theft of two plants from her front porch. A report was taken and the investigation is ongoing.

Trespassing: May 3 – An officer was dispatched to a local property lot on Horizon Blvd, in reference trespassing call.

Hit & Run: May 3 – Officer responded to a local parking lot on W Mesquite Blvd for a report of a hit and run. Officers responded and were advised a blue vehicle struck the building and left the scene. Vehicle was unable to be located and only minor damage was sustained to the building.

Intoxicated Person: May 3 – An officer was dispatched to a local business parking lot on N Sandhill Blvd in reference to an intoxicated person.

Traffic accident W/O injury: May 3 – An officer responded to a local intersection on E Pioneer Blvd for a minor property damage collision.

Missing Person: May 3 – Officers responded to a report of an elderly male subject who was reported missing that had walked away from his residence on Sunvalley Dr. Subject later returned to his residence while Officers were attempting to locate him.

Noise Disturbance: May 3 – An officer responded to a local residence on E Old Mill Rd for an anonymous noise complaint.

Citizen Assist: May 3 – An officer located an elderly male that needed medical attention and assistance locating family on N Sandhill Blvd.

Theft: May 3 – An officer was dispatched to a local casino parking lot on Mesa Blvd, in reference to a theft from a motor vehicle.

Dead Body: May 3 – Officers were dispatched to E Old Mill Rd for a report of a possible deceased person. Investigation determined a natural death had occurred.

Fire: May 3 – Officer arrived to a reported fire at a local residence on Sea Pines St. Upon arrival, the fire was put out and fire department took over investigation. Nothing further.

Lost Property: May 3 – Officer responded to a local address on Hardy Way regarding a lost purse. Complainant stated purse was left at a local casino. Report taken.

Disorderly Conduct: May 3 – Officers were dispatched to a casino on Mesa Blvd reference a disorderly male. The male was arrested, trespassed and transported to the detention center.
