Volunteer Appreciation Party for Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue Scenic AZ. Satellite Adoption Center was held May 2, 2014. Joan Dunkle and Fred Clark, who run the adoption center, said, “This is our opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to all our volunteers!”

This is a very special time designated to thank volunteers. There are not enough words to describe how amazed and grateful we are for the dedication, of our volunteers. We want to recognize the amazing work and commitment of those volunteers that give their time to help.

Through their generous contributions of time and talents, volunteers help with:

  • barnyard and paddock cleanup, (poop picking – an essential role here)
  • animal care such as socializing and, grooming
  • chores as required, (e.g. filling water troughs, cleaning, washing containers, interacting with the public

This is physical labor and requires stamina and elbow grease! It’s wonderful work, and a delight to be around curious, gentle donkeys. But it does take some muscle – and no fear of getting your hands – or clothes – dirty.

Our volunteers also help with our fundraising events and outside community events when the donkeys are taken offsite to visit.

May 8 is National donkey Day. Take a moment today to celebrate these wonderful animals and support the many donkey sanctuaries and donkey rescues around the world.

Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue is a non-profit charitable organization and is dependent on donations for its support. PVDR takes no money from any government agency. By removing the burden of donkey rescue from federal, state, county or local government, our services have saved hundreds of thousands of tax-payer dollars. Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity. All donations are tax deductible.
