The City of Mesquite and FC Mesquite are proud to announce registrations for Youth Soccer for Boys and Girls ages 4 – 13; the child can be 13 years old turning 14 during the soccer season which is August 2014 through July 2015. The program is scheduled to begin in the fall, September 6, 2014. The deadline to register is Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. Registrations are being taken now at the Mesquite Recreation Center.
If spots are available after the registration deadline, those wanting to fill the available positions, Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registrations started May 1 and will run through August 2 at 6:30 p.m. The first game is on September 6, 2014
The purpose and/or goals of the youth programs with-in the City of Mesquite Leisure Services Department and FC Mesquite Organization is to provide a program where all kids can learn to play soccer and then gain the confidence and desire to keep improving. The youth can learn the fundamentals of a sport and learn sportsmanship through participation. The ultimate goal is to encourage skill development and foster a positive attitude.
The “KICKS” program relies on volunteer parents to make the magic happen! If you would like to be a coach, a referee, concessions attendant or volunteer in any capacity with the League, please inquire with the Leisure Services Department, as there is a form you must fill out. We appreciate everyone’s involvement and dedication to the program and to the youth of the valley.
