The Virgin Valley High School Bulldogs played rude guests Thursday at Sunrise Mountain High School defeating the Miners 19-7 for the Dawgs second consecutive season win over the host Miners. The Dawgs blew open a close game by scoring an amazing 16 runs in the fifth inning to win easily over the Miners.

Bulldogs lose 12-5 to Division IV leading Panthers

The Bulldog baseball team had their hands full Friday afternoon losing to a good Pahranagat Valley High School Panther team by a 12-5 margin. The Panthers brought an 8-0 conference record into the game. The Panthers jumped on the Dawgs early and often taking a 12-1 lead after five and a half innings of play. The Dawgs scored four runs in the half of the inning to cut the Panthers lead to 12-5 but could not get closer. Senior Cody Faught continued to lead the Bulldogs with two hits for the game.

Dawgs lose to Roadrunners 6-3

The Bulldog baseball team had no answer for TECH’s Abel Martinez as he struck out 13 Bulldog batters to lead his Roadrunner team to a 6-3 victory. The Roadrunners jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning for all the runs they would need. They added two runs in the fourth inning to take a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning  before the Dawgs came to life and scored three runs to make the final score 6-3 in favor of the Roadrunners. The Dawgs record fell to 3-6 in 1-A league and 5-20 overall.

The Dawgs will host Moapa Valley today and Desert Pines on Friday.
