To the Editor:

A big thank you to Cub Scout Pack 640. As a project the group wanted to do something for the animals at the shelter. They collected food, treats, toys, brushes, collars and items for the animals. On Thursday, March 20, they presented their gifts to shelter representative ACO Walter Dalton and volunteer Joanne Migliozzi.

Thank you to the troop and leader Pam Rich.

As a thank you the shelter provided coloring books, flyers on animal safety and posters.

Everyone was reminded about how to approach a dog, calling the shelter for help with found animals, getting their pets vaccinated and spayed/neutered. There was also time for questions and answers.

We also met a family that recently adopted a dog from the shelter and they shared a “happy ending story”.
